What comes to mind when you hear the word "church"?

We hope when you hear Montauk Avenue Baptist Church that four words come to mind:

• Family - We are a family of imperfect people who love and care for each other. Because there are no perfect people you can come as you are and you will find a place of love and acceptance.
• Journey - Even though we are imperfect we are moving one step at a time closer to God. We believe that God is more concerned about where you are going than where you are. Together we are working to take steps to God.
• Followers - We have been given an example in Jesus of what life can be. We aren't simply seeking to be good people rather we seek to follow the example of Jesus and the life He created us to live.
• Encourage - As we have been given a great gift we also want to help others experience this life change in their life. This isn't done through arguing or manipulation but rather by encouraging people through love to seek God.

While we are far from perfect this is the church we seek to be and we invite you to join us. We gather as a church every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for a time of celebration, music, teaching, and encouragement.
